Bukchon Hanok Village, Gyeongbokgung Palace, Gangchon Rail Park, Nami Island (Part 3)
20:28We are already half way to the five-part series! In this third blog post, we will be travelling back to South Korea during it old times. Let's see what have been discovered by us in our fifth day trip in Seoul. We will be talking about the most famous drama Korea, Winter Sonata filming site at Nami Island.Since we dozed off until 10 am on that day due to the extremely tiring Jeju trip, we ended up start our fifth day in the late morning. By the time we arrived at Bukchon Hanok Village, it was already packed with visitors, meh. After spending time here, we headed to Gyeokbokgung Palace which is a stone's throw away. It seems pretty hard to take a photo of Gwanghwamun Gate without vehicles passing by it but it is doable. Here is a tips, you need to stand opposite to the gate and wait until one moment when the intersection is vehicles-free because of the traffic light! Then, click on your camera shutter. It is simple as that but requires a bit of patience though. Ewha Women University is one of prestigious universities in Korea and I am quite disappointed as we did not have much time to take photos at this university. We thought that it is the best to visit here during daytime, actually it is the best to visit at nighttime. Search for the lit architecture and take a picture, it is beautiful!
On the next day, we were thinking of going to Gangchon Rail Park-Nami Island-Petite France. However, Petite France is closing at 6 pm and the latest admission is one hour before closing. Our advice is if you are planning to go all these three places in one day, you need to ensure that you leave Nami Island right before 4 pm because Petite France is 30 minutes away from Nami Island. There will be shuttle buses but the buses will leave every one hour, do check the timetable first before planning your trip. If you are happen to miss the bus, there will be always line of cabs waiting at the bus stop.
